volunteers, city partner to make playground more accessible
Chevron employees rolled up their sleeves on behalf of the ENABLED Employee Network to help workers with the City of Pascagoula install a new handicap-accessible merry-go-round at Beach Park in Pascagoula. The equipment was purchased by Chevron as part of an ongoing project to provide more accessible playground areas at local parks.
friendly competition benefits backpack buddies
Employee networks at Chevron Pascagoula Refinery hosted a friendly competition throughout the month of July to benefit children in the Pascagoula Gautier School District through the Backpack Buddies program.
Employees collected a total of 16,171 items and $3,845 in monetary donations (more than $7,000 when matched by a corporate contribution).
veterans network unveils memorial, commissions new flag
The Veterans Employee Network at the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery championed a project to commission a Veterans Memorial and install an outdoor American flag at the refinery’s PNC campus. Moss Point High School NJROTC Color Guard presented colors during the ceremony.
chevron sponsors industrial trade show
Chevron was proud to once again sponsor the Jackson County Industrial Trade Show, where local small businesses showcase their products and services to the manufacturing and large industries in the county.
The event has grown over the past 27 years, and aligns with the Pascagoula Refinery’s goal to source goods and services locally. Chevron spent $284.3 million with Jackson County vendors and contractors in 2017. Sourcing locally and supporting our Jackson County Chamber of Commerce are two important ways Chevron benefits our local economy.
